PLOT OUTLINE:
(including the history of the Cheironyx Empire)

    The Cheironyx Empire was created in ZAC 2063, following the chaos of the 2056 meteor impact. Led by Emperor Cheironyx Telusis, the Empire was based on the North Island of the unnamed Eastern Continent. During the 2nd Great Zoid War of 2099 to 2109, they mostly remained on the northern part of the continent. Some scouting parties, though, were sent to follow the main War and collect any debris and information they could. By the time the Zoid Wars had spread to the Eastern Continent, in 2106, the Empire had rebuilt and/or captured some of the lesser Helic and Guylos Zoids. However, they wanted one of their own design, so they set to work building the biggest, strongest Zoid they could.
    It took many years to secretly build, first a construction facility, then a hyper-powerful Zoid out of scraps. When the Zoid Wars finished, production was halted for a long time, being seen as unnecessary. But when Cheironyx Telusis III inherited the empire in 2178, he decreed that Zoid production should continue, in case of a new war. During the construction of the first Zoid, it was decided that their efforts should instead be concentrated on making many different designs. Thus the prototype Geno Drake stood unfinished for years, while the smaller Kironix Zoids were created as bodyguards.
    Once the Kironix Zoids were finally created, the time came to complete the Geno Drake. The year was ZAC 2231, and Cheironyx IV had just gained power. The Hyper Organoid System was being tested for the first time in the first Geno Drake prototype. Far more powerful than usual Organoid Systems, this enabled the Zoid to think for itself, improving speed and reflexes dramatically. However, when the Geno Drake was activated, the Hyper Organoid System let it run off without a pilot. Despite the best efforts of the Imperial pilots, the Geno Drake escaped to the Central Continent and wreaked havoc.
    The Helic Republic, a powerful nation, managed to destroy the rogue Geno Drake with Gunbluster, Fire Phoenix and Gairyuki Zoids, among others, from the end of the 2nd Great Zoid War. Then they and the Neo-Zenebas Empire, their allies, came to the Eastern Continent, looking for the ones who had set the Geno Drake upon them. The Cheironyx Empire was overwhelmed by the huge amount of enemy troops, until a new force came to their aid. The Guylos Empire, thought to be a casualty of the Zoid Wars, had returned with more powerful troops, including the Gravity and Holotech Zoids, and an improved Energy Liger.
    With the new power of the Guylos troops, the Cheironyx Empire managed to hold back the Guardian Force (Helic and Neo-Zenebas) for a while. However, the mysterious Sharlith Junta appeared with a devastating dragon Zoid and annihilated the Guylos troops. The Cheironyx Empire retreated to the Dark Continent of Nyx, a long sea journey. Once there, they found that yet another new group had formed, the Trionic Republic. Coming to the Empire's aid, the Trionic Republic used their Illuscyther and Gruatara Zoids to drive back the Junta.
    While the Guylos and Sharlith groups were both at a disadvantage, revolutionists in the Sharlith rose up and attacked them. Using endless variants of the Helic Shadow Fox, the Revolutionists succeeded at first.
